We moved to Balbriggan in 1989, to a cottage on half an acre. After many years growing vegetables, our interest gradually turned to ornamentals. Over time, the vegetable and grassed areas gradually gave way to ornamental plantings.
Dave retired in 2017 and we both went on the one-year Plantsperson Course in Hunting Brook. The garden continued to evolve, more areas were planted up, paths were put in and the garden slowly became transformed. Having been invited to join the Dublin Garden Trail the garden first opened to visitors in June 2023 and was featured in that summer’s edition of the Irish Garden magazine. We look forward to welcoming you in early September.
