Visit to Butterfield House Garden

Saturday 19th of July from 11.00 am to 1.00 pm

Butterfield House, Fortchester, Inch, Gorey, Co. Wexford Y25PR82

Noel Gilleece and Eilish Ryan started the garden 25 years ago on a 1.5 acre level field.  Laid out in a Victorian style and divided by hedges of different kinds, there are about 1,000 metres of box hedging surrounding herbaceous borders.  Gravel paths meander between summer houses and follies with several seating areas.  To encourage wildlife, there are two ponds and a wildflower lawn.  Plants will be on sale, including named varieties of dormant Snowdrops.

Parking is limited so carpooling would be helpful.

Booking for this event will be via Eventbrite – the link will be available from mid June.
