IGPS members gathered at the Zoo recently to thank Stephen Butler for the many occasions he hosted visits for members and brought us round the wonderful planting he has created there. Planting at the Zoo has developed to such a degree under Stephen’s care that has long since gone past being simply functional and has become a true garden – though one with many exotic animals so we are hardly to copy it in all its aspects at home.

Stephen is about to retire and we wish him every happiness, good health and continued gardening for many years. Of course, we also look forward to his continued involvement in the IGPS where he has been stalwart member for many years.

Many thanks to Ali Rochford for these photograph taken on the occasion.
