Altamont

Altamont: A wonderful Robinsonian garden created by the late Corona North. Full of rare trees and shrubs and wonderful walks around large lake and down to the river Slaney. Known to many for its snowbell collection now is the time to see its summer splendour. We will have a guided tour starting at 11.00am.

Before that the café will be open from 10.30am.
The admission is free but there is a car park charge €2.
There will also be a little time to visit Altamont Plants Nursery.

Hardymount

Hardymount: Wonderful walled in garden containing many unusual and rare plants and flowers in herbaceous borders. Lilac coloured Erysimum, yellow Helianthus, bed of old roses, downy variegated mint, mimosa, blue Agapanthus, California Tree poppies, Chinese foxgloves and much more. Grass path takes you past pond with Lilies and fish, to espaliered apple trees, Lobelia tupa and a Pergola clothed in Wisteria. A truly beautiful old-fashioned Garden.
