IGPS Autumn Plant Sale – 19th October 2025, Blackrock, County Dublin – 10.30am to 1.00pm
This is a wonderful opportunity to buy rare and unusual plants, many of which are Irish in origin. Donated by members and nurseries, they are priced very attractively!
There is something for everyone: shrubs, herbaceous plants, bulbs (specials and regulars). If you cannot decide on a plant there is always the raffle! Plant and pollinator advice will be available also.
Thanks to the Society’s Irish Heritage Plants Working Group, there will be a bumper selection of Irish plants (IHPs) available at the plant sale on Sunday 19th of October, some of which are shown below.
They include a selection of very desirable trees and shrubs which are hard to find including the golden holly, Ilex ‘Lady Valerie’; the myrtle, Luma apiculata ‘Glanlean Gold’, named for the garden on Valentia, Co. Kerry; Forsythia × intermedia ‘Ashmount Gold’ for a splash of colour in early spring; the elegant shrub with attractive burgundy tones, Pseudowintera colorata ‘Marjorie Congreve’, named for the wife of Ambrose Congreve of Mount Congreve in Co. Waterford and the summer-flowering Eucryphia ‘Rostrevor’.
The coffee shop at the Pastoral Centre will be open and there is ample free parking available.
