A warm welcome awaits you in the Library of the Castlecourt Hotel on Friday evening following check-in. Enjoy the opportunity to catch up with each other after our long absence.

Saturday begins with a 9 am departure by coach to the world renowned Kylemore Abbey. Set in a spectacular location we will enjoy a guided tour of the Victorian walled gardens with head gardener Anja Gohlke.

After lunch, our coach takes us to Drimbawn, a 40 acre garden set on the shores of Lough Mask . Divided into a series of gardens – woodland, rhododendron, herbaceous, bog garden this is a garden with something for everyone to appreciate. Frank Steffens, the head gardener, will bring us on a short tour before we explore this magnificent garden. There will be plants for sale on the day.

Our day will end with a gala dinner at The Castlecourt Hotel.

On Sunday morning there will be time to enjoy a ramble in the grounds of Westport House. We then have three gardens to visit by car: Trafalgar Lodge, a seaside garden; Hammerbeam, a farmhouse garden and Speckled Meadow, a natural garden. All three feature in the Clew Bay Garden Trail.

Westport is accessible by rail which is a 10 minute walk from the hotel. If you are coming by train please let a member of Committee know on Friday so that lifts can be organised for you to visit the gardens on Sunday.
