The Pruning and Training of Fruit Trees @ The Walled Garden

The pruning and training of fruit trees may seem like a daunting task for many amateur fruit growing gardeners and Barry Connolly, resident Organic Kitchen Gardener in The Walled Garden, Helen’s Bay, is delighted to welcome Phil Wheal from the Organic Centre, Co.Leitrim to simplify the process so we can all have our own Gardens of Eden with healthier and more productive fruit trees for years to come.

 

The course will cover tools; hygiene; rootstocks; pruning shapes; pruning and grafting techniques as well as propagation.

You are encouraged to bring your own gloves and secateurs for some hands-on practice

Light refreshments and lunch are also included.
