Join us for our Summer lunch and visits to two gardens in the Boyne Valley: Listoke, a three acre Edwardian walled garden with woodland attached, is situated in rolling farmland north of Drogheda. Trees of note in the garden are a giant Sequoiadendron, an Italian Cornus and a Juglans nigra along with an eclectic collection of ducks. Lunch is included as is a visit to the Art Gallery. The south facing terraced gardens at Beaulieu are situated on the northern side of the Boyne Estuary with a wide panorama of the river and beyond. Our visit will include a tour of this historic house dating from the 1660s and built in the artisan mannerist style. Tea and scones will be enjoyed in the Victorian Kitchen. LOCATION: Listoke is located to the north of Drogheda. The easiest way is to exit Junction 10 off the M1 signposted Drogheda North and follow signs for Monasterboice. Turn right after the garage signposted Termonfeckin, follow the road and turn right. Listoke is located 2 km on the left hand side. Ample parking, please follow the one way system.
Beaulieu House and Gardens is located about 10 minutes’ drive from Listoke. Exit left at the gate and take the first left. After 3 km you come to a busy junction, take a right and then an immediate left. Follow the road again until you come to a very busy crossroads. Go straight ahead. Beaulieu is located on your left. Drive up to the house and park herringbone style on the lawn. There is further parking in the farmyard to the left of the house.
