Planting with Bees (and Other Pollinators) in Mind
No matter how small a space you may have to plant flowers, Mary Montaut aims to help you choose plants which will encourage both honey bees and wild pollinators to visit. Mary will show how attracting bees and other pollinators to your garden will have the added benefit of increasing your yield of crops of soft and tree fruits too.
Mary Montaut has been keeping honey bees in her garden in Wicklow for the past twenty years. Her passion for gardening began as a child when Mary was inspired by her favourite aunt who lived close to the Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew. Mary is currently editor of An Beachaire, the Irish beekeeping journal. All welcome.
