47 Craigdarragh Road off the A2 (Belfast -Bangor Road)
Originally built in 1886 and lying disused for over 60 years after the world wars, this “secret” garden is currently undergoing an ambitious restoration project to become a unique visitor destination focusing on organic vegetable, fruit, herb and flower growing as well as a wide variety of education, cultural, community and private events.
To coincide with European Heritage Day, present owners James and Lorraine Small have kindly offered the garden to host a plant sale for the IGPS.
Ample parking for visitors and toilet facilities will be available. Tea, Coffee and tray bakes will be on sale for £5 per person but feel free to bring your own picnic.
The Society would welcome plant donations from members. Please bring them on the day or contact Billy McCone (028 92 651315 ) or Agnes Peacocke (028 44 612766) and we will try to arrange collection.
A card reader will be available but the wi-fi connection is not always reliable so do please bring cash.
